Health & Safety

Protocol

We take your health and safety very seriously, which is why we have a comprehensive safety plan in place for all our retreats. That plan takes into consideration policies and advice of the local authorities in place at that time, the latest recommendations from the CDC and how best your retreat leader can assist you. We continue to work closely with our locally based teams around the world to keep our staff and you informed about what precautions are appropriate.

While we cannot eliminate all risk involved with travel, he are some of the things you can expect from your experience of traveling with us:

Plan Ahead

We strongly recommend checking your travel insurance policy before you travel to determine what level of insurance coverage you may be eligible for in the event that you are quarantined or get sick while traveling. Direct all coverage questions directly to your provider.

We recommend that all travelers have a contingency fund for unavoidable situations such as severe weather, natural disasters and civil unrest when you travel. With this in mind, we recommend you carry US$500 for medical expenses in case it is needed. Please note that Run Wild Retreats is not responsible for additional costs due to quarantines and/or medical sickness.

If You Have Covid

We cannot permit a person who has very recently tested positive for Covid-19 or is experiencing Covid-like symptoms to participate the retreat. In the event that a person in our group starts to experience symptoms during the retreat, she will be asked to isolate herself. Your retreat leader will have a limited number of rapid antigen tests available on site, which will help determine the next course of action/treatment for the person affected.

Health Of Staff

Our retreat leaders, who are employees of Run Wild Retreats, are screened for any symptoms of Covid prior to the retreat’s start. If our employee tests positive or is showing symptoms of infection, she will be pulled from the retreat and replaced with another retreat leader. While we are unable to extend this policy to outside contractors, such as guides and drivers, we work with highly reputable companies that operate in compliance with their state, county and local Covid mandates and exhibit great care for their valued guests.

Reduce Your Risk

We highly recommend travel insurance (including cancellation coverage) for all retreat bookings. You are required to provide proof of coverage for all international retreats (including medical, evacuation, trip interruption and cancellation) with at least $100,000 in medical coverage. Travel is more disrupted than ever, and we want you to have the best possible travel experience despite these uncertainties.

Run Wild Retreats is not responsible for any non-refundable losses or additional expenses you may incur as a result of changing your travel plans, receiving medical treatment, or if we have to cancel the retreat due to travel restrictions or border closures. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to include the full cost of your booking in your policy. This is where travel insurance can help you.
