With so much uncertainty around the world right now, it’s normal to be feeling cautious about making travel plans in the near future. And yet, your wanderlust is calling you to make plans that give you something to look forward to, especially in light of so many races and large-scale events being cancelled. We understand that right now, a small group trail running and wellness retreat can serve as a safe way to satisfy your desire for connection and support while doing something to lower your stress and inspire your running routine. 

To address any lingering concerns or hesitation you have about booking a retreat during these uncertain times, we’re pleased to offer you a new Flexible Booking Policy gives you total peace of mind so you can confidently book your next trip with Run Wild Retreats + Wellness while eliminating any risk. We now offer two flexible booking options at no extra charge, which you can choose from when making your booking. We are pleased to have found ways to reduce your risk when booking a new retreat with us. Here’s what you can expect:

Smaller Deposits

Our deposit amounts for 2021 international retreats have reduced from $900 to $500 USD.
Deposits for 2021 domestic (within the U.S.) retreats have reduced from $600 to $300 USD.

Delayed Balance Payment Deadlines

To provide you with more time to make travel decisions, we have pushed back the final payment schedule for certain retreats, and may do the same for more retreats depending on how things progress with Covid-19. You’ll see the balance payment dates for specific retreats on that retreat’s booking page. We have pushed these back as far as possible to give you more flexibility in finalizing your travel plans.

Alternate Dates If the Retreat is Rescheduled

If the retreat doesn’t proceed as scheduled in 2021, we will automatically transfer your payment(s) to the retreat’s alternate dates as posted on the retreat’s information page on this website. If you are unable to attend the alternate retreat dates, you may transfer to a different retreat altogether, keep your payment on file as credit (that never expires). We will make the decision whether or not to proceed with a retreat by the “Balance Due Date” as marked on the retreat’s registration page (view all trips here).

Protect Your Booking with Travel Insurance 

We highly recommend travel insurance (including cancellation coverage) for all retreat bookings. You are required to provide proof of coverage for all international retreats (including medical, evacuation, trip interruption and cancellation). Travel is more disrupted than ever, and we want you to have the best possible travel experience despite these uncertainties. Travel insurance from a trusted, reliable carrier, such as our partner, Travel Guard, can give you the peace of mind you deserve in these challenging times. Since your retreat package is non-refundable after a certain point (see below), we strongly encourage you to include the full cost of your booking in your policy.

Flexible Booking Policy Cancellation Options 

You may choose one of the three options below up until the retreat’s “Balance Due Date” which can be found in the “My Booking” section of your custom registration page. You can look up your registration in our system here (be sure to use the email with which you originally registered). After your retreat’s Balance Due date, bookings are non-refundable and non-transferrable. For this reason, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance. 

Option 1: Transfer your payment to a different retreat date and/or destination (and waiving the $100 retreat deposit transfer fee) taking place within the next 12 months. We will refund you the difference in price of the retreat if the new retreats costs less than the one you had booked originally, or invoice you the difference if it is higher.

Option 2: Put your payment on account as credit with us and no expiration date. If you paid in full for a retreat and put your payment on account as credit, you’ll receive an additional $100 in Retreat Rewards (credit)*.

Option 3: Receive a refund less a cancellation fee ($500 for international retreats; $300 for domestic/U.S. retreats). If you choose this option, you will also receive $100 in Retreat Rewards* that you may use towards a future booking with us.  After this deadline, refunds are not available unless we cancel or postpone the retreat due to unsafe travel conditions or border closures.
