For 10 years now, Run Wild Retreats + Wellness has been committed to creating exceptional retreat experiences for runners like you. Our vision has not wavered for a second, even during these unprecedented times. Having said that, with the unpredictable nature of the current environment surrounding COVID-19, possible quarantines and other travel restrictions, we are unable to provide the exceptional experiences that you have come to expect. Therefore, we are postponing all retreats that were originally scheduled to take place between now and July 1, 2020.

While we remain committed to proceeding with retreats once conditions and the authorities allow again, we are keenly aware that everyone has their own perspective on what’s right for them. Therefore, we’ve adjusted our booking and cancellation policies to allow you more time and flexibility to make the right decision for you. This situation is fluid, and as it evolves, so will our response. We’ll continue to be in touch and provide updates as they roll in. For guests on retreats impacted by the seemingly ever-changing landscape, we are communicating directly about the changes. We appreciate your trust in us, and we’re here to help find the right decision for you, so please reach out if you have any questions.

We have relaxed an updated our policies as follows:

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY RETREAT IS CANCELED DUE TO TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS?

For retreats scheduled to depart after July 1, 2020, we will be making the “go/no go” decision 90 days prior to departure dates (or closer to departure as the situation changes). If Run Wild Retreats cancels or postpones your retreat, our normal no refunds/transfers cancellation policy is relaxed in order to provide you with more options. This temporary new policy gives you the option to:

1) accept the new dates offered for your retreat taking place later this year or the same one in 2021. Your payment will be transferred in full to the new retreat date and no further action is required on your part.

2) transfer your full retreat payment to a different retreat altogether (and waiving the $100 retreat deposit transfer fee). Tell us which retreat you choose and we will refund or invoice you the difference in price for this new retreat.

3) put your deposit payment on account as credit with no expiration date. If you paid in full for a retreat and put your payment on account as credit, you’ll receive an additional $100 in Retreat Rewards (credit)*.

4) receive a refund of your retreat payment less a small cancellation fee. We work with our suppliers within each destination to minimize the amount of non-refundable costs and recover as much of your money as possible. Refunds are generally sent via Paypal or paper check, and in some instances may be refunded directly to your credit card. If you choose this option, you will also receive $200 in Retreat Rewards* that you may use towards a future booking with us.

Before you ask for a refund: We humbly ask that you accept an offer of postponing or transferring your retreat booking rather than ask for a refund at this time. As a small business that is being heavily impacted by this global crisis, we are doing all we can to preserve our business’s viability so that will be able to serve you in the future. If we are asked to issue a large number of refunds at this time, it will severely compromise our chances of weathering this storm. Please know that a portion of your cancellation fee supports many in our supply chain, including independent running guides who rely on our trips to help support their families.

As of Monday March 23, 2020, we have suspended all retreats scheduled to take place through June and have reached out directly to these guests.

WHAT IF I’M BOOKED ON A RETREAT AFTER JULY 1, 2020 BUT QUESTIONING IF I SHOULD TRAVEL?

Our goal is to provide flexibility so that you can have the time and information you need to make the best decision. We will be reviewing all future retreats on an ongoing basis to determine if it is safe to operate them.

  •         If you are booked on a retreat that has not been cancelled or postponed but don’t want to go, you have a couple of options:

          1) transfer your full retreat payment to a different retreat altogether (and waiving the $100 retreat deposit transfer fee) until 60 days out. Tell us which retreat you choose and we will refund or invoice you the difference in price for this new retreat.

          2)  put your deposit payment on account as credit with no expiration date. If you paid in full for a retreat and put your payment on account as credit, you’ll receive an additional $100 in Retreat Rewards (credit)*.

          3) receive a refund less a cancellation fee ($500 for international retreats; $300 for domestic/U.S. retreats) until 95 days before the retreat begins. Refunds are generally sent via Paypal or paper check, and in some instances may be refunded directly to your credit card. If you choose this option, you will also receive $200 in Retreat Rewards* that you may use towards a future booking with us. Less than 95 days before the retreat begins, refunds are not available unless we cancel or postpone the retreat due to unsafe travel conditions.

  •         We have moved back final payment due dates for the following retreats:

Iceland August 3 – 9   ::   Final payment due date: May 1, 2020

Iceland August 11 – 17   :: Final payment due date: May 1, 2020

Ireland September 13 – 19   :: Final payment due date: August 1, 2020

WHAT IF I’M THINKING ABOUT A NEW BOOKING?

To provide you with more time to make travel decisions, we have pushed back the final payment schedule for certain retreats (see those dates listed above), and may do the same for more retreats depending on how things progress with Covid-19.

Plus, for any 2020 retreat you book with us now, you will have the option to postpone or transfer for no penalty as per the terms laid out above.

As we’ve learned over the past few weeks, what makes sense today may not make sense tomorrow. Please understand that we reserve the right to change these policies without prior notice due to this very fluid and unpredictable situation.
